Ciri dan Tujuan Koperasi Sekolah - Koperasi sekolah mempunyai sedikit perbedaan dengan koperasi-koperasi lain, terutama dalam hal pengelolaan dan tujuan. Di samping untuk menghasilkan keuntungan berupa SHU untuk kesejahteraan anggota, koperasi sekolah juga mengedepankan hasil berupa pembentukan perilaku serta meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilah siswa dengan menjadi anggota atau mengelola koperasi sekolah.

School cooperatives are a little different from other cooperatives, especially in the management and purpose. In addition to obtaining surplus to increase the members' welfire, school cooperatives are also aimed at irnproving the students' knowledge and skills by becoming cooperative members or administrators.

The foundation of school cooperatives is based on the rules issued by some government institutions including the Department of Education and Culture and Department of Transmigration and Cooperative. Some of the rules are Declaration No. 275KPTS/ Mentranskop/72 of 1972 issued by the Department of Transmigration and Cooperative which was followed by the Director General of Cooperative circular No. 717 dated 31 May 1974 concerning School Cooperatives stating that a school cooperative is built by arzcl for the students of a school, Islamic boarding school and other educational institutions. Like other cooperatives, school cooperatives are also based on Law No. 25 of 1992 which replaces Law No. 12 of 1967.

Pendirian koperasi sekolah didasarkan pada ketentuan beberapa departemen. Hal ini terkait sekolah sebagai institusi pendidikan yakni dari Depdikbud dan Departemen Transmigrasi dan Koperasi. Di antara ketentuan dimaksud yakni SK No. 275KPTS/Mentranskop/72 Tahun 1972 yang diikuti dengan keluarnya surat edaran dari Dirjen Koperasi pada tanggal 31 Mei 1974 No. 717 wacana Koperasi Sekolah yang dibuat oleh dan untuk anak didik sekolah, pondok pesantren dan forum pendidikan lainnya. Seperti koperasi-koperasi yang lain, koperasi sekolah juga menurut atas UU No. 25 Tahun 1992 yang ialah pembaruan dari UU No. 12 Tahun 1967.

1.Purposes and Characteristics of School Cooperatives Tujuan din Ciri Koperasi Sekolah The purposes of school cooperative are basically the same as those of other cooperatives but are adapted to the school condition. Consequently, school cooperatives,should stress on education and pelatihan of the students to allow them to learn managerial, mutual help and thrifty attitudes.

Tujuan koperasi sekolah intinya tidak tidak sama dengan koperasi lain, spesialuntuk sedikit diadaptasi dengan kondisinya yang berada di sekolah. Karena itu, koperasi sekolah juga harus mengedepankan pendidikan dan petes bagi siswa semoga mempunyai kemampuan manajerial dan perilaku hidup sebenarnya dan hemat.

The purposes of school cooperatives are - Tujuan koperasi sekolah adalah:

• to develop the spirit of mutual help, organization and hard work on student, (menanamkan rasa gotong-royong, semangat berorganisasi, dan bekerja keras bagi siswa),
• to increase the students' knowledge, skills, and entrepreneurship, (meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan serta jiwa wirausaha siswa).
• to develop sense of responsibility and discipline in social life, (memupuk rasa tanggung balasan dan disiplin dalam hidup bermasyarakat)
• to make it easier tfor students to obtain school equipment, (mempergampang siswa dalam memenuhi kebutuhan pramasukana belajar).
• to develop students' creative drive (menumbuhkan impian siswa untuk berkarya).

Characterissitics and types of business of school cooperatives - Ciri koperasi sekolah dan jenis usaha:

• Founded on the basis of declarations of several departments (Didirikan dengan SK beberapa departemen).
• The organization is adjusted to the students' study hours (Penyelenggaraannya diadaptasi jam acara belajar-mengajar siswa)
• The membership is time-limited, that is as far as the member is still a student of the school (Keanggotaannya dibatasi oleh waktu, yaitu masa berguru siswa)

The types of business which can be run by a school cooperative are among others, a shop that sells school equipment and extracurricular activity equipment, such as as uniforms, school attributes, a canteen, photo-copying service, and credit service. For credit service, usually the debitors (borrowers) are only teachers and school administrators.

Usaha yang sanggup dilaksanakan di sekolah dan lazim ada di koperasi-koperasi sekolah antara lain toko yang menjual peralatan berguru dan ekstrakulikuler, seperti, seragam, atribut sekolah, kantin, jasa fotokopi, jasa simpan-pinjam. Untuk simpan-pinjam biasanya debitor (peminjam) spesialuntuk terdiri dari guru dan karyawan sekolah saja.
